Custom Horse Race Test Project

mainly using this as a backup as i dont have github on my laptop but its also cool to have this custom version of it open to the public. Ruby and Schoolbus and Salmon were not made by me and i dont know how i should credit the creators so i will ask them at some point

current planned features:

• make the text grow to full size on the win screen instead of just being like that
• do the thing where apparently horses get slightly faster over time after hitting a wall
• a transition from win to win screen including a zoom in on the track and the cool blocky effect
• random maps, with a goal of having 100 but realistically it will most likely be less
• random horses for more variety than just maps
• saving of win stats for each horse and also a little 3 character name thing underneath the horse before the start
• the bouncing countdown for before the race
• horses not moving before the race
• all horses besides the evil ones from the original horse racing tests although this will mean that any of those with unconfirmed names will just be their color on the win screen like cyan in the one horse race
• if random maps and horses exist, then also a way to set up a match between specific horses on a specific map
• cool title screen
• more songs that play during the race and also loop better and suck less
• this one definitely needs to happen but a credits screen for the horses that other people are letting me use should happen probably after the title screen
• horses looking where they last bounced or are bouncing towards or however it worked in the horse racing tests would be nice but sounds hard
• downloading the thing that lets me customize the exported game so it isnt the default godot logo on the file
• making the program name not "horsemoment"
• an actual logo which kinda  goes with the title screen thing
• less overscoping would be pretty good
• having a finished version of the game that does not need any more updates
• making this itch page match the looks of the actual game and also just generally not such with such things as: a list that is way too long, outdated gifs, and limon (color name of the lime green horse) backdrop.
• automatic horse races where after one it goes to another presumably for either data collection with the win scores or live streams
• not closing the game after a race (goes with the title screen but wanted to put it here anyways)
• timer at the bottom ✅

i will not be adding more to this list as to not overscope this project and generally keep it simple also once everything on this list is done i will remove it
